Pride & Prejudice Sampler

Here is a list of patterns used for this sampler. Most are still available for purchase.  My goal was to make my houses look similar to those used in the 1995 A&E version of Pride & Prejudice.   You can find photos of the homes used for the 1995 movie by searching online. Here are some of the filming locations:

Longbourn the Bennett home - Luckington Court, Wiltshire England
Netherfield - Edgecote Hall, Oxfordshire England
Pemberley - Lyme Park, Cheshire England
Rosings Park - Belton House, Lincolnshire England
Hunsford Parsonage (Mr Collins' home) - Old Rectory at Teigh in Leicestershire

Quotations - all were charted by me as over-1 stitching, using alphabets provided in any Sampler Company pattern by Brenda Keyes.
Floral Border - from "The Good Neighbor" by The Drawn Thread (expanded and pieced together as I needed a much bigger border than the one on the chart)
Longbourn, home of the Bennett sisters - I charted this house myself. I took the house from a pattern called "Shaker Sampler II" from Sudberry House and modified it to be a little bigger and also changed the entryway. There is another version of the Longbourn home on the "The Daughters of Longbourn" by The Stitching Parlor.  It's lovely but was just too big for my sampler.
The 5 Bennett Sisters - "The Daughters of Longbourn" by The Stitching Parlor.
Large tree with squirrels in upper left corner - Prairie Schooler chart #85
Netherfield Park home of Mr Bingley -  "A Ball at Netherfield" by The Stitching Parlor.
Garden in front of Netherfield Park - Prairie Schooler chart #104
Fountain in front of Netherfield -  "Ladybug Cottage" by Elizabeth Designs
Mr. Bingley - "Shaker Sampler II" by Sudberry House
Grape vines around Netherfield Park - resized and adjusted slightly by me, but mostly from Loose Feathers #25 "Awake the Dawning Day" by Blackbird Designs
Regiment at Meryton & British solders -  "Over the Hills Sampler" by The Sampler Company/Brenda Keyes
Rosings Park - I charted this house myself.  There is a beautiful one on the 'Rosings" chart by The Stitching Parlor, but was just too big for me to use.
Country church -  I charted this myself.   Gravestones are from "Old Stone Church" by Elizabeth Designs.
Charlotte & Mr Collins - "Mr. Collins Humble Abode" by The Stitching Parlor
Bee skeps - Prairie School #104
Fountain in front of Rosings Park - Prairie Schooler #50
Lizzy & Darcy in lower right corner - from "Pride & Prejudice Sampler" by West Wind Designs.  This designer still has a site on Etsy with many nice designs inspired by Pride & Prejudice.  Westwind Designs on Etsy   The tree that Darcy & Lizzy are standing under was inspired by the tree on "Red House Sampler" by The Sampler Company/Brenda Keyes.
Darcy family crest - "Mr. & Mrs. Darcy of Pemberley" by The Stitching Parlor
Pemberley - "Mr. & Mrs. Darcy of Pemberley" by The Stitching Parlor.  I changed the colors and added some backstitching for more definition of the columns and architectural details on the house.  I also shortened it slightly by leaving out one panel of windows on each side - I needed it to fit in a smaller space.
Tree & Pond in front of Pemberley - Tree inspired by the one on "Over the Hills" sampler  by The Sampler Company/Brenda Keyes.  Pond was stitched free form with no pattern.
Pine trees in front of Pemberley - Prairie Schooler chart #150
